Why now
Gen Z · 18 to 28
A nineteen-year-old has four hundred clips on a phone and no way to show that a single innings in them happened. The training changed completely. The paperwork behind it did not move at all.
Gen Alpha · still at school
Fourteen-year-olds with strength programmes, GPS vests and video analysts. ASCEND does not take them yet, and that is deliberate — verified parental consent under the DPDP rules comes first. Doing it badly is the one mistake that would end this.
The coaches
Coaches who work from evidence, write their reasoning down and expect the tool to keep up. ASCEND is built for that coach — and it puts their name, not an algorithm’s, on every judgement.

No shortcuts
AI can tell you what your body did in a clip. It will never tell you it was good, and it will never rate you. That is a coach’s job.
Corroboration
Hand the scorer a link. Two minutes, and they never see your figures — which is exactly why what they confirm is worth something.
Your photos
A STAMP card is drawn on your device and handed to your share sheet. Nothing is uploaded, so there is nothing for ASCEND to keep.

What happens next

Talent is not the scarce thing in Indian cricket. Records are.
A boy in a district town makes ninety-four on a matting wicket, and by the next season there is no trace of it — not a scorecard, not a name, nothing anybody outside that ground could check. A hundred made in front of the right people follows a player for a decade. Both were runs. Only one became evidence.
ASCEND exists to close that gap, and it is deliberately unglamorous about how. We do not predict who will play for India. We do not sell a rating. We do not let software decide whether a cover drive was any good — a machine can describe what a body did, and an accredited human being decides what it was worth, with their name against it and an expiry date on their opinion.
What we do is simpler and harder. We record what happened, we record who confirmed it, and we show you the difference. A hundred nobody verified is still your hundred. It just cannot carry you across a threshold on its own, and we would rather tell you that now than let you find out at a trial.
